Zamboni's Arrival

Well, Zamboni arrived early one morning just as I was on my way to work. I greeted him happily, let him know where he'd been staying, and regretfully informed him that I had to be on shift soon. But elephants are actually a quite curious kind, and he was interested to see where I worked. So, I figured a quick tour around the station wouldn't hurt.

First, I let him see the cars, get in, and have a look around.

And, of course, like any young man, he wanted to play with the lights, which I gladly let him do.

As he happily toyed with the lights and sirens, I went inside the station to grab some equipment and paperwork for the day. When I came back out, it became apparent that Zamboni was really getting into the job. I found him in my husband's car learning the ropes of paperwork, inspections, reports, and our mobile control units.

Alas, it was time to get on the road, and Zamboni had to leave. But upon returning home, I saw that Zamboni had met Celery, and they were relaxing happily in the shade of a tree.

Sadly, Celery will be leaving soon, but Zamboni has a bit more to his vacation getaway. :-)

Celery's Day at the Office

Day 2 of Celery's time here at Kat's Kountry Kradle included a day with the US Army.

We tried to get her into uniform, but everything seemed pretty big on her. So, once it became clear that she would not be able to wear tactical gear, we decided that having her along on a field exercise just wouldn't be safe. So, we just stayed in the office to catch up on some paperwork and intelligence analysis.

First, we showed her around her new, temporary office.

Then, we had her read up on some of the basic intel material so she'd be prepared for our upcoming analysis activities.

But she got a little confused with some of the terminology. So, while the rest of us were conducting super-secret intelligence activities, she used her basic knowledge and super-sweet personality to smooth over some of the head honchos upstairs who were getting restless for information.

By the end of the day, she was completely into the swing of things, getting herself head over feet in paperwork...... literally.

So, many thanks to Celery the Frog for being our first guest at Kat's Kountry Kradle and for being a true, American hero.

And just recently, Zamboni arrived!!!! Be sure to stay tuned to see what adventures Zamboni can slip into!

Celery the Frog's First Day

So, Celery the Frog from Travel'n Turtle arrived and had a very busy and fun-filled day here at Kat's Kountry Kradle!!!

First thing I needed to do was to go out and find all of my Bachelorette Party Plants, so I can replant them elsewhere. I had already found all but four, so Celery was ready to go.

Problem is, she didn't really have much experience driving ATVs, so I told her she was more than welcome to come, but it would probably be a better idea if I drove.

Once we got out on the trail, Celery read the directions and finding the last four was a breeze!!!

Once we were done, we went back to the house to count them all up and make sure we had them all. Then, Celery got busy stampin' away!

After all of that stamping, I told Celery that I had to go help work on some of the land. Celery said that she would be glad to help, so I asked what she wanted to use. Her first choice was the chainsaw...

...but I didn't think that was very safe.

So, her next choice was the tractor. I figured that a nice, big, slow tractor should be easy enough, so I put her up there and let her at it. And she did very well!!

So, all in all, it was a great first day for Celery here at Kat's Kountry Kradle. Coming up next, Celery spends some time with the US Army...

Meet the Staff!

I'd like to introduce the staff members of Kat's Kountry Kradle.

This is Fancy and Flory, the proprietors of Kat's Kountry Kradle. They are a very friendly folk just looking to spread some good ol' southern hospitality. Both born in Georgia, they bring a little southern sweetness to the north!

This is Top, Head of Security here at Kat's Kountry Kradle. He's firm, but fair, and keeps our guests safe at all times. :-)

And this is Mr. Bravess T. Berr. Born at Boyd's Bear in Pennsylvania, he was filled with nothing but bravery beads, making him the bravest bear in all the land. Here at Kat's Kountry Kradle, he serves as the bartender and keeps an eye on our slot machines, dice games, and weekly poker tournaments. All guests must be of legal drinking age to take part, of course. :-) (May I just mention what a stunning couple that is in the picture in the background?? *wink, nudge, giggle*)

So that's it!!! The staff of Kat's Kountry Kradle is pleased to open their doors and their arms to any Boxin' Buddies looking for a great time in central New York.
Hope to see you soon!!!
